Awards 2025: Panico eSports

- -

We’re slowly reaching the halfway point of our SuperionGG Awards 2025 nominations… and that means it’s time to bring another team onto the stage — one without which this year would have looked just a bit different. Until now, we’ve focused mainly on organizations from our local scene, but today we’re taking a small step to the side… a step toward a team that has accompanied us throughout the season from a more international angle. We are, of course, talking about Panico eSports, our Romanian partner who, despite modest results, has remained a steady part of the esports landscape for years.

Panico is a team that may not have a cabinet full of trophies, but there’s one thing you simply can’t take away from them… They know how to come back. Season after season, project after project, roster after roster. It’s a team that operates in waves — sometimes louder, sometimes quieter, but always present, always trying one more time. Maybe without fireworks, but with character and persistence, which in the esports world also holds real value. That’s why today we’re taking a closer look at their past year. The achievements — though few — the roster changes — of which there were plenty — and their presence in media and competition. All to show why Panico eSports earns its place among the nominees, even if they’re not a team judged solely through the lens of results.

Achievements… or rather the few sparks of them

If we look purely at the raw results, this year was definitely not a time of success for Panico eSports. It wasn’t a season of trophies, medals, or spectacular upsets. And yet, amid all that silence, there was one moment worth noting. The most positive highlight was their run to the quarterfinals of the Plausible Gaming Champions Series. A tournament in which Panico showed that they can shift into a higher gear when they find the right rhythm. It wasn’t a result that shook the scene, but in the context of their year, it stood out as one of the few clear points of reference.

Unfortunately, the other side of the coin was far less optimistic. In the 55th season of ESEA Entry, the organization failed to secure a spot in the playoffs. This shows that despite their efforts and presence within the league structure, the team is still searching for the form and stability needed to rise to a higher level of competition. While the overall record may not look impressive, it is precisely these small fragments of the season that best reflect where Panico eSports stands in 2025.

In the past year, Panico eSports could not avoid major roster shake-ups… On the contrary, changes became a part of their daily work on the lineup. The organization practically reviewed its roster every season, searching for the right configuration that could help them step up to a higher level. For example, in September the team announced the departure of two players and introduced a new face as reinforcement — all in preparation for upcoming challenges. In November, we wrote about their “tough stretch of matches and roster changes,” during which Panico had to react to results and adjust the team structure throughout the season.

Although frequent changes can be seen as a lack of stability, they also show that Panico is not standing still. Instead, they try, test, and adjust. For those aiming to reach a higher level, it’s a logical path… first you need to find the right lineup, and only then start building. In this sense, their year was not full of results, but rather focused on laying the foundation.

Although Panico eSports is an organization from outside Poland, they appeared fairly regularly in our coverage throughout the year. In total, we published around 15 articles where they were the main focus — from match recaps and roster updates to analyses of their performances in leagues and tournaments. It’s worth noting that the actual number of publications might have been even higher. Some older materials were likely lost during the site’s restructuring and migration when we fully transitioned to the .com domain. Even so, Panico remains one of the more visible foreign projects, showing that their activities did not go unnoticed. This is definitely not a team that appears just once every few months. Their activity, roster changes, and repeated attempts in various leagues kept bringing them back into the spotlight on our site.

Why Panico eSports made the list of nominees?

Panico eSports is an example of a team that, despite the lack of spectacular results, still plays a real role in shaping our esports environment. They actively engage, search for the right direction, respond to challenges, and regularly keep their community informed about their steps. This is a project that does not stand still, and whose progress could be followed throughout the year. That’s why they make the list of nominees… Not for trophies, but for presence, consistency, and character — qualities that are also an important part of esports.

We remind you that voting for the SuperionGG Awards 2025 will start on January 2 and last for two weeks. During this time, you can cast your vote for the team and tournament that you believe deserve recognition.
