Ups and Downs: Traker Esport’s ESEA Journey So Far
Traker Esport’s ESEA Intermediate campaign has been a true rollercoaster. With a current record of 3–3, the team has shown both promise and areas that need improvement.
- Traker Esport 13:11 LEO, Anubis
They kicked off their season with a hard-fought 13:11 victory over LEO on Anubis. The match was tightly contested from the very beginning, with both teams exchanging rounds in the early stages. Traker managed to edge out a narrow 7:5 lead by halftime, thanks to disciplined site holds and a few clutch plays that tipped the balance in their favor. In the second half, the pressure ramped up as LEO fought back aggressively, but Traker kept their composure. Key utility usage and coordinated retakes helped them maintain their lead and ultimately close out the game 13:11. It wasn’t a flawless performance, but it showed early signs of chemistry and resilience.
- testdrive 3:13 Traker Esport, Dust 2
Next came what’s been their most dominant performance so far — a commanding 3:13 win over testdrive on Dust 2. From the very first round, Traker Esport took control of the match, setting the pace and dictating the flow of the game. Starting on the T side, they showcased clean executes, sharp entry frags, and excellent map control, which allowed them to rack up a 3:9 lead by halftime. Their coordination looked crisp, and the communication was clearly on point. In the second half, they wasted no time closing things out, winning four quick rounds with minimal resistance.
- Traker Esport 1:0 Fake Cloud 9, walkover
A forfeit win against Fake Cloud 9 gave them their third victory, but it came under unusual circumstances. Fake Cloud 9 was unable to field a full roster, having only three players available for the match. As a result, Traker Esport was awarded the win by forfeit. While it added to their record, it wasn’t the kind of win they had hoped for, and they knew the real test would come in the matches that followed. Unfortunately, those next games weren’t as kind.
- Sicarios 13:6 Traker Esport, Anubis
Against Sicarios on Anubis, Traker Esport showed resilience early on, staying close throughout the first half with a solid 7:5 scoreline. They were able to hold their own against the experienced Sicarios, who put up a strong defense. Traker team play was commendable, with some close rounds going their way, allowing them to stay within striking distance. However, after the side switch, Sicarios’ superior map control and tactical adjustments started to shine through. Traker struggled to adapt to their opponents’ aggression, and the rounds quickly slipped away. Despite some good individual moments, the team was unable to mount a comeback, eventually losing 13:6. It was a tough loss, but one that showed the areas they needed to work on as they faced more seasoned competition.
- Traker Esport 3:13 MyBad, Anubis
Things got tougher from there. Facing MyBad, Traker Esport struggled to find their footing. The match began with both teams exchanging rounds, but MyBad quickly asserted their dominance, showing their tactical prowess and sharp aim. By halftime, Traker found themselves at a 3:9 disadvantage. The second half didn’t fare any better for them, as MyBad ramped up their pressure, controlling both the pace and key areas of the map. Despite a few attempts to turn things around, Traker couldn’t break through MyBad’s solid setups, ultimately falling 3:13. It was a tough loss that underscored the difficulty of competing against the top-tier teams in the division.
- Icons 13:4 Traker Esport, Anubis
Finally, their most recent game against Icons also ended in defeat, with Traker falling 13:4 on Anubis. From the outset, it was clear that Icons had the upper hand, dominating the early exchanges with sharp coordination and solid tactics. Traker struggled to find their rhythm, and by halftime, they were already facing an uphill battle, trailing 9:3. Despite a few strong individual performances, Icons’ precise rotations and aggressive plays left Traker with little room to breathe in the second half. They couldn’t manage to mount a comeback, and the match ended with a convincing 13:4 loss. It was another tough defeat, but one that highlighted the growing gap between Traker and the top contenders in the division.
Looking ahead, Traker Esport still has a chance to turn their season around. While the recent losses have been tough, the team has shown glimpses of potential, especially in their wins and competitive showings. Their performance against “top-tier” teams like Sicarios and MyBad — both of whom had one of the best starts with a 5–1 record each — has highlighted areas for improvement, but with their strong teamwork and individual talent, they’re still in the hunt for a playoff spot. The road ahead won’t be easy, but Traker Esport has proven that they can compete at a high level. All eyes will be on their next matches to see if they can bounce back and continue to improve.
