Weeks go by, and the 52nd season of ESEA is in full swing, delivering non-stop excitement. The battle for the top spots continues, but for many teams, the dream has already come to an end. Unfortunately, among those who have been eliminated from the playoffs is Traker Esport.
Traker Esport out of the playoffs – what went wrong?
- Traker Esport 0:2 Potuzhnist
- Dust 2, 5:13
- Nuke, 10:13
- Anubis, potential decider
For Traker Esport, this was their final match in the playoffs, though the competition is still ongoing. Unfortunately, they couldn’t extend their run – their opponents closed out the series in just two maps, leaving no room for doubt. The first map was particularly painful, as Traker Esport initially held their ground on defense, securing five rounds as Counter-Terrorists. However, after the side switch, they completely lost their rhythm and failed to secure even a single round, sealing their defeat.
The second map, Traker Esport’s pick, was much more competitive, but once again, they struggled to close out crucial rounds. The start of Nuke was far from ideal, as Potuzhnist won the pistol round and quickly converted the next round, gaining an early lead. It wasn’t until Traker Esport had full equipment that they started gaining momentum, equalizing the score and even taking the lead. By the end of the half, they were in a solid position, finishing 7:5 after playing on the attacking side.
Unfortunately, the side switch once again became their downfall. Potuzhnist stepped up, dominating the second pistol round and stringing together four consecutive rounds, pushing the score to 7:9. Traker Esport tried to fight back, managing to take a single round, but it wasn’t enough. Just when it looked like they might force a comeback, Potuzhnist shifted into high gear, securing three match points.
Traker Esport refused to give up and managed to take one more round, but that was all they could do. Potuzhnist closed out the series, eliminating Traker Esport from the playoffs and securing their spot in the battle for a higher division.
As fans, all we can do now is wait for further decisions regarding upcoming tournaments. That’s why I encourage you to follow the team’s social media – they will surely find new challenges before the next ESEA season.
