We are slowly entering the final week of group stage of the 52nd ESEA Season, and unfortunately, Saturlity Esport has been disappointing with their results. They started the previous week promisingly with a 7:3 record, but something went wrong, and they will enter the final week with a 7:5 record. Will Saturlity still manage to fight for a spot in the playoffs?
What went wrong for Saturlity?
- Saturlity 5:13 Wartex DE, Ancient
- Sila_Persila 13:5 Saturlity, Anubis
The sixth week of competition turned out to be exceptionally unlucky for Saturlity. It was the penultimate week of the season, and the team suffered two crushing defeats. In both matches, they managed to win only five rounds, a stark contrast to their earlier performances. The match against the German team Wartex DE already exposed Saturlity’s weaknesses, as the German squad set a tough pace from the start.
The first half of the match against Wartex DE was disastrous for Saturlity, as they secured only four rounds. Their opponents quickly took control of the map, putting them in a dominant position for the rest of the match. The second half was merely a formality for the Germans. From a 4:8 scoreline, Wartex DE swiftly extended their lead to 5:13. Saturlity struggled to find an answer to their rivals’ tactics, and their chances for a strong finish in the season significantly diminished after this defeat.
The second match of the week turned out to be a harsh disappointment. It’s fair to say that the game was decided in the first half. That was the only period when Saturlity showed glimpses of determination. They secured five rounds, offering a faint hope of turning the match around. Unfortunately, that spark of hope quickly faded as the opponent set the bar too high.
After the side switch, Saturlity completely lost momentum. Their gameplay became chaotic, and their attacks were predictable. The opponents mercilessly exploited their weaknesses. Saturlity failed to win a single round. The 13:5 score brutally exposed the difference in skill levels. The match ended faster than anyone had expected. Saturlity’s fans watched in disbelief as their team suffered defeat, lacking both energy and a clear plan to overcome their rivals.
