The final week of the ESEA group stage is about to begin, and Panico eSports shows no signs of stopping, achieving an almost perfect record. They currently hold an 11:1 score, with only two matches left to play. Is it already certain that we’ll see them fighting for a higher division?
Who has Panico defeated so far?
In my previous article, I summarized how they performed at the halfway point of the season. Even then, it was clear that they had the potential to compete for the top spots, and the following weeks only confirmed that.
Later, Sequer covered Week 5 of the competition for you. Panico finished it with a solid record: 8 wins and only 2 losses. You’re probably wondering why they had two losses the week before but only one this time. I’d love to know that, too. Unfortunately, the Faceit platform doesn’t provide the option to check such detailed data.
But to get back on track, Panico finishes this week with an impressive ten consecutive wins. This definitely gives hope to see them in the next stages of the competition – first in the playoffs, and maybe later in a higher division?
- Team Hoylas 14:16 Panico eSports, Nuke
- Sm2b 5:13 Panico eSports, Inferno
The first match of this week was a real challenge for Panico. Despite the difficulties, they managed to win, though only after overtime. Could it be the new map that no one expected this season? Or maybe the players just weren’t in their best form? No matter what the cause was, the important thing is that they came out victorious. The win definitely boosted their confidence, and a huge weight was lifted off their shoulders.
The emotions after the overtime must have been intense. However, the victory likely had a positive impact on Panico’s players. This was evident in the next match, which they won very easily. This time, they played on Inferno, a map they choose quite often. They feel confident and comfortable there. They know every nook and cranny and know what to expect from their opponents. That surely helped them achieve a quick and impressive win.
Who will Panico’s final opponents be?
- Monday, 24.02. 20:30, Loran HUB
- Wednesday, 26.02. 20:30, GranDpas
Panico eSports’ final week will see them face the Ukrainian team Loran HUB, with that match taking place on Monday. Then, on Wednesday, they will play their last group match against the Spanish team GranDpas.
